Under the Dome Gift Shop
The gift shop, which is run by the Friends of the Vermont State House volunteers, is located off the Hall of Inscriptions (near the bust of Abraham Lincoln). A wide variety of handcrafted Vermont products are displayed for purchase. Among the specialty items in the gift shop are candies and maple products, games and books for children, Vermont books, craft items (pottery, textiles and leatherwork), and Staffordshire china that feature the State House. Proceeds raised in the shop help to support the curatorial and educational activities of the Friends. During the legislative session, from January until adjournment toward the end of May, a smaller selection of souvenir items is sold from a rolling cart located in the Card Room, open two days a week or by telephone request.
The book that chronicles the history of the State House, “Intimate Grandeur” is available on-line through our store. Other items are only available at the gift shop at this time.
