Volunteers The Friends is an all-volunteer organization. About 120 men and women donate their time and talents to leading tours, organizing and staffing Under-the-Dome gift shop, and preparing events, newsletters, and educational materials. Funds and donations generated by these activities are devoted to the restoration and to State House collections. The Volunteers are vital to the Friends' mission of educating the public, which includes thousands of tourists and foreign visitors, about our State House and about Vermont itself. Every year volunteers enjoy an autumn field trip to another historic site and a festive spring luncheon with a preview of the year's main activities. |
